Balm for the soul

Collage

Separated into smaller and smaller camps
Of people more and more like us
We take shots at the other camps
Like we know
Like they don’t know what we do
Like they don’t have a camp they cling to
For dear life
Or fear of life
Like we do

A collage of all the flags
All the scriptures put together
A race spinning through space

Separated and scattered into little islands
We make names for the landscape
And take shots at the other islands
Cause this one feels right
Cause their music doesn’t make sense
And their language sounds so silly
And they think they know their way to the light
But they must be wrong
Because our way feels so right

Should we travel there and try to teach them?
Should we travel there, prepare to fight them?
Should we stay here and live in fear
Of being wrong or being taught or being killed?

A collage of all the flags
All the scriptures put together
A race spinning through space!

From the album

“This music not only swings, rocks, and grooves–it matters. It’s the voice of a real community, with a sound and a message the world needs to hear.”

“The argument for the most influential human in the Michigan music uprising of the past decade may begin and end with one Seth Bernard.”

“Paradigm-shifting and culture healing music as resourcing for next-level human stewards of planet earth.”

Elizabeth Wolff
Cultural Healing Facilitator

“I know that the future of music is in good hands with people like Seth around to be its caretaker. More importantly, I know the future of our world is in good hands.”
